Mountain Theatre Company is entering a new chapter. Following the final performance of SHOWSTOPPERS! on August 30, Scott Daniel concluded his five-year tenure as MTC’s Executive Artistic Director. We are deeply grateful for all Scott has contributed to MTC and our community.

As we navigate this leadership transition, the Board has made the difficult decision to cancel our December production of A Joyful Noise, originally scheduled for December 11–27. Given the timing of the transition, we do not believe we can deliver the production at the level our audiences deserve.

Mountain Theatre Company has been part of this community for 88 years, and we are committed to protecting that legacy and building its future.

MTC is not closing. We are moving forward. The Board is taking this time to thoughtfully plan our next chapter, and we are grateful for the continued support of our patrons, donors, sponsors, artists, and community.
